Mexiko Lekil-Lum 100% ARABICA
This regional coffee comes from the members of the Siembra Abundante cooperative in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, in southern Mexico. Farmers in this region typically cultivate 1–2 hectares of land at altitudes between 1,100 and 1,350 m a.s.l. The standard varieties in San Cristóbal are Marsellesa, Costa Rica, Typica, and Caturra. The name “Lekil-lum” translates to “healthy soil” in the indigenous Tzeltal language.
Coffee is the most important commercial crop in the Chiapas region and has a long history here. Over the years, San Cristóbal de las Casas has refined its processing methods, resulting in a high-quality coffee with a very clean cup profile. When our famous roaster Vašek worked his magic, the result was the perfect Christmas coffee with notes of sweet gingerbread, green apple, and walnut. Just right for the holiday season!
