Uganda Mount Elgon 100% ARABICA
Mount Elgon Coffee comes from The Coffee Yard station, founded in the Mbale region by experienced producer Norman Mukuru. This station serves as a collection point for local farmers who bring their harvest here. With the support of partners like The Coffee Gardens, Norman and his team focus on sustainable cultivation, innovative processing methods, and rigorous quality control from farm to export. The carefully selected cherries come from the regions of Sironko, Mbale, Bulambuli, and Kapchorwa, ensuring a high standard for the final coffee.
This coffee is processed using the natural method, which enhances its sweet and fruity notes. The cherries are first meticulously hand-sorted, with excess moisture removed on specialized drip tables. Then, an open-tank fermentationprocess helps develop a rich floral and fruity flavor profile. The coffee is dried on raised beds for approximately 21 days, until the moisture content drops below 12%. Finally, the beans are gently hulled, sorted by color, and prepared for export, ensuring consistency and a unique flavor character.
In this natural Uganda Mount Elgon coffee, you’ll taste mango, peach blossom, and peanut butter—a truly unique combination of flavors.
